In 1954, Walt Disney introduced Disneyland, the television series. This weekly show served as the public’s first glimpse into Disneyland Park, which was set to open less than a year later. On July 17, 1955, Dateline Disneyland aired live from the park, just before its official opening to the public. The broadcast was watched by an estimated 90 million people. Though the day was filled with mishaps and later dubbed “Black Sunday,” Walt and his team quickly ironed out the issues. What followed was
