Started my back session off yesterday with some deads. Went up to 240kg/528lbs for 3, wasn't my best but it's certainly a good start as embark on a mission to hit my personal best and beyond. My personal best is 280kg/616lbs which at the time was a smooth lift, I've had my sights set on 300kg/660lbs but have never taken the time to work towards it. I've had it up to my knees more than once lol, but almost doesn't count! End of the vid you can hear @mqluong reminiscing about the day I pulled 220k

Add Pause reps to your routine 🫡 Myself and @mikerashid worked up all the way to 405lbs, then came back down and finished with pause reps for our 8th and final set. These build control, eliminate momentum, and strengthen the weakest part of the lift that sticking point off the chest. The pause forces your muscles to stay under tension, improves stability, and teaches you to press with power and precision. If you want to push heavier weight with better form, finish your bench sessions like this.
