This was a really fun discovery this year at our little cabin in the woods. Wintergreen, and yes it tastes exactly like good old fashioned wintergreen gum. We've enjoyed a freshener chew on a leaf or a berry everyday. I am interested in using it some as a tincture. I will let this wintergreen steep in the vodka for 6 weeks then strain and ready to use. Primarily I will use in homemade mouthwash and toothpaste. But wintergreen has traditionally been used as an anti-inflammatory: Methyl salicylate
