A couple weeks ago we had a very special visit from Fern Reed. She's 97 and lives in Portland, Oregon, and she came to the Museum just so she could see a B-17F, the exact model Boeing bomber she helped build in Seattle in 1942. She was a Rosie the Riveter. Our B-17F was made in the same plant during the same year she worked there. Our Curator gave her a tour, and asked her to sign the plane.
