Hywel Dda University Health Board’s (UHB) first solar farm has been installed at Hafan Derwen, located on the Parc Dewi Sant site. The 1,098 panels have been installed on an area covering just over one acre. The 450 KW solar farm scheme aims to deliver on-site generated electricity directly to the Hafan Derwen site. Hywel Dda University Health Board has opened its next round of Apprentice Academy places and is encouraging people with an interest in developing a career in healthcare to get in touch. The scheme, currently open to applications, helps individuals who might not have followed more traditional routes, into a career as a registered nurse. It provides people with an opportunity to earn while they learn, here in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire. The apprenticeship is available for anyone
