Welcome to the Rio Colorado Cabins! We have 19 smoke-free cabins (1, 2 and 3 bedroom) located on 5 acres in the beautiful Sangre De Cristo Mountain town of Red River, New Mexico. For over 70 years our goal has been to help you and your family create a unique and memorable vacation experience.

With the advent of winter sports, the cabins were winterized and Rio Colorado operated year round. The improving and remodeling of the cabins continues to present day while maintaining their rustic appeal and charm.

Cabin 20 is one of our most requested cabins because of its secluded location. This cabin is located across the river and is accessed by a bridge. Jul 31, 2019 · The Rio Colorado grew and changed quite a bit during this time. Many of the older cabins, and buildings like the old café and Assayer’s office were torn down or sold and relocated off the property. This made way for some more modern cabins.
