Disney execs give status update on talks with YouTube TV ahead of jam-packed sports weekend
"Unfortunately, we are headed into another sports-packed weekend without a deal in place," Disney executives wrote in a memo on Friday.

In the media conglomerate’s latest attempt to generate support for its content following a blackout on the Google-owned TV service, Disney has proposed that YouTube TV put its ABC back on the air on Nov. 4, when the nation heads to the polls for Election Day.
YouTube pulled more than 20 Disney-owned channels including ESPN and ABC right before Halloween after Google and Disney couldn't come to an agreement. At the time, YouTube TV claimed that it ""will not agree to terms that disadvantage our members while benefiting Disney’s own live TV products."
The platform pulled over 20 Disney-owned channels on October 30, with conflicting reports about credit offers appearing on some subscribers' accounts.

Monday Night Football is nationally broadcast by ESPN and ABC under a rights deals that runs through the 2033 season. Since those channels are currently blacked out on YouTube TV, subscribers can’t stream MNF or any ESPN programming, including SportsCenter, NFL Live, or Monday Night Countdown.
Disney asked YouTube to add ABC ahead of Election Day. YouTube TV said in the past two elections, its viewers largely did not watch ABC.
