The Los Angeles Dodgers recalled South Korean All-Star Hyeseong Kim on Saturday and placed second baseman Tommy Edman on the injured list. Kim agreed to a $12.5 million, three-year contract with the Dodgers on Jan.

Signed to a three-year, $12.5 million contract last winter, Kim was working on his swing in Triple-A. The promotion is likely to be temporary with Edman expected to return next Saturday.

Tommy Edman's injury creates an opportunity for Hyeseong Kim to make his major league debut with the Los Angeles Dodgers.
