London's Metropolitan Police have charged comedian and actor Russell Brand with one count of rape, oral rape and indecent assault and two other counts of sexual assault, the police force said Friday.

A former detective constable with Nottinghamshire Police has been charged with four counts of rape. Neil Bellamy, 60, of Keyworth, has also been charged with assault by penetration and misconduct in a public office, the force said.
