More than 30 years after road-tripping in wigs across the Outback together, Guy Pearce is paying tribute to the late Terence Stamp. The Oscar nominee remembered his The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert (1994) co-star as “a true inspiration” after Deadline reported that Stamp died at age 87 on Sunday,

Stamp is remembered for his portrayal of “unforgettable characters,” from Superman villain General Zod to a trans woman in ‘Priscilla.’

Stamp received an Oscar nomination for 1962’s Billy Budd. Known primarily for his roles as villains, he played General Zod in 1978’s Superman and 1980’s Superman II, and appeared in Wall Street, The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert and The Haunted Mansion, to name a few.
