JOLIET, Ill. (WLS) -- NASCAR will return to the Chicagoland Speedway for the 2026 Fourth of July weekend. The announcement was made on Wednesday. The NASCAR Cup Series, NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts Series, and ARCA Menards Series will be in Joliet next year.
The Cup Series will return to Illinois on July 5, 2026. However, instead of racing downtown and taking over Grant Park during the Fourth of July weekend, the sport is headed back to its longtime home at the Chicagoland Speedway in Joliet, about 50 miles southwest of the Loop.
