The 2025 MTV VMAs, hosted by LL Cool J, air live from New York's UBS Arena on Sunday, Sept. 7. The first slate of performers and special honorees was announced on Monday, Aug. 18.

LL Cool J is hosting the ceremony solo for the first time. He previously served as a cohost with Jack Harlow and Nicki Minaj in 2022. There's no word yet on whether the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee and hip-hop trailblazer will also perform on the big stage.

Alex Warren, Busta Rhymes, J Balvin featuring DJ Snake, Ricky Martin and sombr are also set to perform on the show. The 2025 VMAs, hosted by LL COOL J, will air live coast-to-coast from New York's UBS Arena on Sunday, Sept. 7, at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT.
