The Tigers have a chance to clinch the four-game series thanks to a variety of victories thus far against the Twins. After squeaking out a win in extra innings on Thursday night and a convincing 7-0 victory on Friday, Detroit managed to show some perseverance in a primetime clash on Saturday night.

Chris Paddack was shelled for six runs in the third inning, including a grand slam, as the Minnesota Twins avoided a four-game sweep with an 8-1 win Sunday afternoon at Target Field. The Tigers (73-53) still took three of four from the Twins (58-66) and went 5-2 on their seven-game trip, but they head home on a sour note.
