Just one day removed from signing a five-year max extension with the Memphis Grizzlies, former Michigan State star and the 2023 NBA Defensive Player of the Year, Jaren Jackson Jr., has undergone surgery on a turf toe injury in his right foot that he apparently suffered playing basketball this recently.

Grizzlies All-Star big man Jaren Jackson Jr. is recovering from surgery for a turf toe injury and will be re-evaluated in about 12 weeks, the team announced.
