Lewis Hamilton says Ferrari is “in the mix” at the Formula 1 British Grand Prix after a competitive showing at Silverstone on Friday. Hamilton led the way in FP1 before taking third in Friday's second practice session behind Lando Norris and Charles Leclerc, as Ferrari looks to be McLaren's closest rival both in qualifying laps and on long runs.

Hamilton was fastest in the first practice session on Friday, before being third-fastest in the second, and the nine-time British Grand Prix winner is feeling confident

Halfway into the the season, Lewis Hamilton's move to Ferrari is yet to be called a success having not managed a single podium so far but there is hope with performance improving over a course of time.
