Using a first-round pick on a quarterback who wasn’t an elite prospect, the Steelers passed on talent that could have improved other areas of the team. Positions like offensive line, cornerback, or even wide receiver could have benefitted from a first-round investment.

The relative infrequency — and unpredictability — of owning the No. 1 pick raises questions: Should the Titans, in need of a quarterback, use their prime position to select one, assuming a player like Miami's Cam Ward or Colorado's Shedeur Sanders would at least be better than what the team has now in Will Levis?
