Illinois State Police are investigating the shooting death of a person in Bloomington by the city's police department.

Bloomington police were called at about 4:45 p.m. to the 700 block of Fairmont Drive for a report of an armed subject.

The suspect shot and killed his girlfriend, her 13-year-old son and her friend before fatally shooting himself.
