Wednesday is National Signing Day for the 2025 recruiting class, but the Texas football team made a splash in the 2026 class instead. Three-star offensive tackle Max Wright announced his commitment to the Longhorns as he picked Texas over Michigan,

As of Tuesday, the Longhorns had the top signing class in the country, according to the 247Sports Composite. If that holds, it will mark the first time Texas' signed the nation's top class since 2002. That class included Vince Young, who quarterbacked the Longhorns to their most recent national championship.
