The decision comes as the White House exerts pressure to offer a more positive — and selective — view of American history.

In a statement to CNN Thursday, The Smithsonian said the decision was made after a review of the museum’s “legacy content” this year.

President Trump’s impeachments were mentioned in an exhibit on the American presidency that museum officials said was outdated. A Smithsonian spokeswoman said a future exhibit would include “all impeachments.
