A bizarre and decidedly crude string of incidents has eclipsed the action on the court in the WNBA this week and top figures in the league are calling out the disrespect they’re feeling as a result.

The incidents have drawn outrage from players as well as fans of a league already subject to continuous online racist and misogynist attacks.

A spokesperson for the group told USA Today, members started throwing green sex toys to coincide with the launch of the meme-coin, which was created the day before the first incident. The group wanted to use the "viral stunts" to garner attention.
