An attorney representing Kimberly Sullivan of Waterbury, accused of imprisoning her stepson for more than 20 years, said the release risks potential bias.

As Kimberly Sullivan pleads not guilty in court on Friday, the Waterbury Police Department has released photos from inside the house where her stepson claims she held him captive for more than 20 years,

The photos show extensive fire damage to parts of the home. The man reportedly told firefighters, "I wanted my freedom," when he set the room on fire.
