New Orleans Saints general manager Mickey Loomis says the team has signed free agent defensive end Jeremiah Martin and waived rookie quarterback Hunter Dekkers.

The Saints waived Dekkers on July 31 so that they could sign punter Kai Kroeger, but they announced that Dekkers has re-signed with the team on Wednesday. The corresponding move this time also involves as a punter as the team waived Matthew Hayball.

West Sioux alum Hunter Dekkers is back on the New Orleans roster and will be there for the start of the Saints preseason slate. Dekkers took part in the team’s training camp after signing a deal following New Orleans’ rookie minicamp in May.
