It's something which Jack Whettingsteel, co-founder of Helpbnk, seems to buy into. "You can't put a price on opportunity and I think we would have bid much higher for the stairwell," he says.

He runs HelpBnk, which helps people start their own businesses with free advice. Squibb felt the steps were like how he views his venture.

The 22-year-old brothers have received support and advice from the Helpbnk community and said "all we wanted was an opportunity to put our business out there and the rest is history".

He now runs HelpBnk, a networking app where start-up founders can swap tips. How does Simon Squibb's business help people? Over the last two decades, he has invested in over 70 startups.
