U.S. President Donald Trump on Friday said Palestinian militant group Hamas did not want to make a deal on a ceasefire and hostage release in Gaza. Trump made the comments to reporters at the White House one day after his Middle East peace envoy,

The United Kingdom, Germany and France are calling for an "immediate ceasefire" in Gaza and "unconditional release of all hostages," after the three countries held an emergency call to discuss the ongoing war and humanitarian crisis.

"The humanitarian catastrophe that we are witnessing in Gaza must end now," a joint statement from the three countries reads.

Israel announced it will allow Arab countries to resume the airdrops of food into Gaza, after such operations were suspended for months, according to multiple reports. The government decided to allow aid to be brought in through Jordan and Egypt and to deliver fuel for the United Nations’ critical facilities,
