President Donald Trump says the U.S. will partner with Israel to run new food centers in Gaza. This move aims to address the worsening humanitarian crisis in the region.

Bob Suberi, a 77-year-old former restaurant owner from Affton, was detained while trying to bring aid to Gaza and break the Israeli navy’s blockade of the waters surrounding it.

After the White House said Trump will present a new aid plan for Gaza, officials could share no details on how the U.S. might join European and Arab allies in moving aid.

More humanitarian aid was airdropped into Gaza for a second day after Israel announced a daily 10-hour pause in some areas to improve aid flow.

The U.S.-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation operates four sites providing food boxes with 2,400 daily calories, while facing criticism from the U.N. and several American allies.

The Kingdom of Jordan will airdrop humanitarian aid into Gaza as Palestinians face widespread starvation and diplomatic talks over a ceasefire breakdown.

"The prolonged suffering of innocent civilians in Gaza arising from the excessive Israeli military reaction to the terror attacks of Hamas since Oct 7, 2023, is unconscionable," said Singapore's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
