One of the best goaltenders in the National Hockey League gave the Buffalo Sabres a gift on Thursday. Tampa Bay Lightning goaltender Andrei Vasilevskiy gave up five goals, but yet they recovered from a 5-3 deficit to beat the Sabres 6-5.

Vasilevskiy made 21 saves in a 4-0 loss to Boston on Saturday. He allowed three goals. Saturday's defeat was a tough one for Vasilevskiy. The first Boston goal came after Lightning forward Oliver Bjorkstrand tried to clear the puck from the crease and banked it off his goaltender's pad and into the net.

The Sabres have lost seven games this year when leading by two or more goals at some point. Four of the seven have been in regulation.
