Disability Rights Oregon has filed two motions to suspend enforcement against unhoused people in Grants Pass, and is waiting for a response from the court.
On Tuesday, Josephine County judge Brandon S. Thueson extended a temporary restraining order in a lawsuit against the city over its treatment of homeless people. Under the order, homeless people in Grants Pass can’t be cited, arrested, fined or detained for camping for 10 days, through February 27. The original, two-week order expired recently.
