The Boston Celtics are heading back home after a successful four-game West Coast road trip. The Celtics capped it off on Saturday night against the Dallas Mavericks in a pounding in the 2024 NBA Finals rematch.

White (shin) has been ruled out for Monday's game against Houston, Gary Washburn of The Boston Globe reports.

The Celtics might be without two players, Derrick White and Al Horford, when they take on the Rockets on Monday night.

The Rockets recently pulled off two impressive wins against the Cleveland Cavaliers, and will now face the defending champions on the road.

Ahead of the primetime matchup, the Celtics and Rockets revealed their official injury reports for Monday night's game. Boston star Derrick White will miss the game due to a shin injury. He was added to the injury report on Sunday and will now miss his third game of the regular season.

White (shin) is listed as questionable for Monday's game against the Rockets, Justin Turpin of WEEI.com reports. White likely picked up the injury during the Celtics' 122-107 win over the Mavericks. Sam Hauser and Al Horford (toe) would be the top two candidates to enter the Celtics' starting lineup if White is unable to play.

The Celtics pushed their lead to as many as 12 points early in the fourth quarter Rockets did not go down without a fight late, answering with a 13-0 run to retake the lead. It was a back-and-forth battle down the stretch with the two sides trading baskets before Thompson hit the game-winner with 0.7 seconds left in regulation.

Udoka took over the Rockets job ahead of the 2023-24 season and has gone 0-3 against Boston over the past season and a half. He still keeps close tabs on his former team and spoke happily about them earlier this month winning the NBA championship last season without him.

The Houston Rockets defeated the Boston Celtics 114-112 with an Amen Thompson game-winner. Thompson had 33 points while Dillon Brooks scored 36 with a career-high 10 three-pointers.
