Harley-Davidson 103 riders find that bikes with this engine are reliable so long as they are regularly maintained and use high-quality oils.

The problem is at least partially mitigated by adding an aftermarket fan-assisted oil cooler. The stock chain tensioners are the biggest issue of Harley-Davidson Twin Cam engines.
