Amazon has introduced a new virtual on-premises file server gateway for its AWS Storage Gateway service, enabling local application to access cloud storage.
Users can check out AWS Storage Gateway with a free trial; after 60 days, each gateway costs $125 per month, with snapshot storage costing $0.14 per gigabyte and typical AWS pricing for data transfer.
The AWS Storage Gateway costs $125 per month, per installed gateway and comes with a 60-day free trial, according to Amazon. Snapshot storage pricing starts at 14 cents per GB, per month.
For enterprises that want to try it out, the AWS Storage Gateway is available for free during a 60-day trial period. After that, there is a charge of $125 per month for each activated gateway.
