Texas is gearing up for a run at the national championship, and the Longhorns' defense will be led by one of the best players in the country.

FOX Sports analyst Joel Platt has revealed his SEC Championship prediction, and the Texas Longhorns have made the cut. Klatt predicts a rematch between the Longhorns and the Georgia Bulldogs, but he believes that the Longhorns will come out on top.

Add in the SEC brand, and Texas looks like the safest investment. Our price tag makes the Longhorns comparable to the 2018 sale of the Carolina Panthers (almost $2.3 billion)."

Four-star tight end Brock Williams is who the Longhorns have their eye on, but other schools are doing the same thing. Rivals’ Greg Smith predicted that Williams would choose the Georgia Bulldogs, but named the Ohio State Buckeyes and Texas as the biggest threats to Georgia.
