Ford Motor Co. is preparing to raise prices on cars rolling off assembly lines starting next month if President Donald Trump doesn’t deliver on the tariff relief he’s hinted at for automakers.

Ford Motor may raise prices on its new vehicles if President Trump’s auto tariffs continue, according to a memo sent to dealers on Wednesday that was reviewed by Reuters. The Dearborn, Michigan, automaker offered deep discounts across its lineup starting earlier this month through June 2.

Coffee prices are expected to rise as a 10% tariff universal tariff on products imported to the U.S. went into effect on April 5. The added tariff hits at a time when prices of raw whole beans from major coffee-producing countries like Brazil and Vietnam are up due to climate conditions.

The influential business group is concerned that even if it successfully challenges tariffs imposed under an emergency law, the duties could be reapplied under another.
