Donald Trump is the most powerful and famous person on the planet, at the helm of the biggest economy and the strongest military. But on his trip to the Middle East this week, the American president is sounding more than a little envious of his Arab hosts.

Upgrading a Qatar-donated 747 into a new Air Force One would take a large sum of money and years to complete, aviation experts said.

You’d think that no one needs a new jet less than Donald Trump, who already not only owns his own customized Boeing 757, but also as president has free use of a pair of heavily modified 747 jumbo jets that collectively make up Air Force One.

Despite flying for more than 35 years, the current pair of Air Force One jets remain one of the safest and secure aircraft in the world.
