Lando Norris got the better of team-mate Oscar Piastri in final practice at the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix as Max Verstappen showed signs he could take the fight to the McLaren pair. Championship leader Piastri edged out Norris in both sessions on Friday as McLaren claimed a one-two practice double.

The McLaren duo of Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris has led the way over all three practice sessions. Piastri topped the timing sheets in both FP1 and FP2 — with Norris right behind him in P2 — while it was Norris who was fastest earlier today in FP3, with Piastri behind him in second.

McLaren finish first and second for the third successive practice session, but this time with Lando Norris fractionally ahead of Oscar Piastri; watch qualifying later on Saturday from 3pm with the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix itself on Sunday at 2pm,
