New Orleans Saints head coach Kellen Moore provided an update on the quarterback battle between Spencer Rattler and Tyler Shough.

Like Dennis Allen and Sean Payton before him, Kellen Moore offered few details on injuries the Saints suffered in their first preseason game:

The Saints are ready to showcase their chosen starting quarterback for the preseason opener against the Chargers.

New Orleans lost a fumble, committed a critical defensive penalty and threw an interception in the first three quarters, leading to 17 points for the opportunistic Chargers in their second preseason game. And a run defense that the Saints desperately want to shore up allowed 148 yards and two touchdowns on 4.4 yards per carry.

Trey Lance scrambled for a 5-yard score and rookie Eric Rogers had a 43-yard pick-6 in a mostly sluggish offensive performance by the Los Angeles Chargers in a 27-13 exhibition win over the New Orleans Saints on Sunday.
