Dan Hooker said he is out of his five-round fight against Justin Gaethje on March 8 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas (pay-per-view, ESPN, ESPN+) due to a hand injury. The injury was first revealed when Hooker mentioned it in a video posted to his daughter’s YouTube channel, “Zoe Hooker TV,” on Tuesday.

Gaethje, nor the UFC have responded to Hooker's injury. It's unclear if Gaethje will remain on the card if Hooker is removed. The lightweight fight was the main support for UFC 313, headlined by UFC light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira vs. Magomed Ankalaev on March 8.

Fiziev was one of the first lightweights to offer his services as a replacement, along with Renato Moicano and Mateusz Gamrot, and the Azerbaijani got the nod. He will fight Gaethje two years after losing a narrow decision to the American in London.
