Mikko Rantanen had a goal and two assists, including on the tiebreaking goal off Alexander Petrovic's skate as the Dallas Stars beat the Winnipeg Jets 5-2 on Sunday to take 2-1 lead in the second-round Western Conference series.

With much of the hype in this series revolving around soon-to-be three-time Vezina Trophy winner Connor Hellebuyck, Oettinger has gone toe-to-toe with the Jets’ goalie, and the AAC crowd let him know it. Chants of “Otter’s better” were breaking out at points throughout the game.

Petrovic got rewarded in the Dallas Stars’ 5-2 victory against the Winnipeg Jets in Game 3 of the Western Conference Second Round at American Airlines Center on Sunday. Dallas leads the best-of-7 series 2-1 entering Game 4 here Tuesday (8 p.m. ET; ESPN, SN, TVAS, CBC).
