The Oscar winning auteur struck a pose with wife Daniella Tarantino, caught up with Leonardo DiCaprio and dropped the mic, literally, after declaring that the 2025 Cannes Film Festival is officially open.

Model Irina Shayk wore a decidedly covered-up ensemble to the 2025 Cannes Film Festival after previously attending the event in a variety of provocative outfits. The move comes amid the festivals updated dress code prohibiting nudity on the red carpet.

As celebrities descended on the Cannes Film Festival that's scheduled to begin Tuesday and run through May 24, organizers updated the dress code to say that "For decency reasons, nudity is prohibited on the red carpet, as well as in any other area of the festival."

Robert De Niro is expected at Tuesday's opening ceremony of the 78th Cannes Film Festival, during which the 81-year-old is to receive an honorary Palm d'Or for his life's work – much of it having graced the event over the last 50 years.
