LEANDER, Texas (AP) — A Texas school bus carrying more than 40 students on Wednesday rolled over after veering off a rural road on the first day of class, injuring multiple students, authorities said.

After the first day of the academic year, the Leander Independent School District bus veered off a curve for unknown reasons.

A school bus carrying 42 children and one adult on the first day of the new school year rolled over onto its side near Austin, Texas, on Wednesday, leaving 12 injured.
