The group led by former Boston Celtics minority owner Steve Pagliuca is reportedly working with the Connecticut Sun's current owners, the Mohegan tribal nation, to salvage the sale of the team with the WNBA,

The sale of the Boston Celtics has been finalized. Private equity mogul Bill Chisholm has taken control of the NBA’s most-decorated franchise from a group led by Wyc Grousbeck that had owned them for more than two decades.

Another returning name is Rob Hale, who was also a minority owner. He is the founder and CEO of Granite Telecommunications. He was complimentary of Chisholm after the sale was announced a few months ago and has been a known Celtics co-owner throughout the sales process.
