LONDON — The Tower of London has been closed after a video appeared to show activists smearing food on a display case containing one of Britain's crown jewels.

Four people have been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage at the Tower of London.

Police were called shortly before 10:00 GMT on Saturday after four protesters threw custard onto the case containing the Imperial State Crown, before two protesters left the scene.
