Henry Flagler died at age 83, on May 20, 1913, as a result of injuries he sustained in a fall at Palm Beach's Whitehall, the 55-room mansion he built as a wedding gift for his third wife.
Completed in 1902 as a wedding present for Henry Flagler's third wife, Whitehall (as it was then named) was a grand Palm Beach estate with 75 rooms, a splendid example of beaux-arts style.
