Arman Tsaryukan was the first UFC star who denied turning down a short-notice fight with Gaethje – but he did admit to asking for the bout at a catchweight before Fiziev agreed to make 156lbs. Dustin Poirier also hit back at Gaethje for suggesting that he shied away from a short-notice trilogy fight.
Justin Gaethje will still compete at UFC 313 in Las Vegas, but it’ll be Rafael Fiziev instead of Dan Hooker who faces him.
