Authorities say a man accused of fatally shooting two people and wounding six others during a shooting last month at Florida State University has been discharged from a Tallahassee hospital and charged with murder.
The suspect in the Florida State University (FSU) mass school shooting has been identified by local authorities as 20-year-old Phoenix Ikner, son of Jessica Ikner, a Leon County deputy and school resource officer. Newsweek reached out to the Leon County Sheriff's Office via email Thursday for additional comment.
Phoenix Ikner spent more than an hour on his YouTube channel defending a far-right racist conspiracy theory — the same one that motivated some of the bloodiest mass shootings in history.
A judge has ordered the Florida State University student accused of killing two people and wounding six others in a mass shooting on campus last month to remain jailed without bond.
Phoenix Ikner will stay behind bars as he awaits trial, accused in the mass shooting near FSU's student union last month.
