A suspect believed to be the perpetrator of the reproductive clinic bombing in Palm Springs, Calif. Saturday, has been identified as 25-year-old Guy Edward Bartkus, a resident of Twentynine Palms, home to a large marine base about an hour's drive from Palm Springs,

The person of interest in the "act of terrorism" that severely damaged a reproductive health facility in Palm Springs is dead, according to authorities. While they were not identified by name, FBI Public Affairs Specialist Laura Eimiller confirmed to KTLA early Sunday morning that the person of interest is deceased.

The blast occurred around 11 a.m. in the 1100 block of North Indian Canyon Drive, either in or near an American Reproductive Centers fertility clinic which was extensively damaged. Some reports indicated the blast may have been a car explosion in a vehicle parked near the clinic.
