ICICI Bank has revised its minimum balance requirements, reducing urban and metro areas to ₹15,000 and semi-urban to ₹7,500.

The lender has slashed the MAB for metro & urban locations to Rs 15,000 from Rs 50,000, for semi-urban to Rs 7,500 from Rs 25,000 and for rural to Rs 2,500 from Rs 10,000.

The minimum balance requirement for its new savings bank accounts opened on or after August 1 was raised five times to Rs 50,000.
