Former Lions safety Ifeatu Melifonwu has agreed to a one-year, $4 million contract with the Dolphins, his agent told ESPN.

The Lions tenure of safety Ifeatu Melifonwu is officially over. The oft-injured free agent has agreed to sign with the Miami Dolphins on a one-year deal worth $4 million. Melifonwu spent four seasons in Detroit as part of GM Brad Holmes's first draft class.
