Propane tanks exploded and at least five buildings were damaged in a massive fire in Lawrence, Massachusetts Tuesday night. Approximately 20 people were forced out of their homes, according to the Lawrence fire chief.

A large fire broke out in a Lawrence neighborhood Tuesday night and rose to five alarms as crews worked to control the blaze, officials said. The state Fire Marshal’s Office said it sent a rehab unit to support the firefighters at the scene near 324 Lowell St. No injuries were immediately reported, according to the Fire Marshal’s Office.
