In New York City, King Charles and Queen Camilla will commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks later this year by meeting with first responders and the families of victims. While in Virginia, they'll attend a block party to celebrate America’s 250th birthday, among other events.

Britain is commemorating what would have been Queen Elizabeth II’s 100th birthday with events honoring her life and decades of service.

The princess, 44, wore a three-strand pearl necklace and Bahrain pearl drop earrings that previously belonged to the queen during her centennial birthday celebration at Buckingham Palace.
