The New York Jets held a practice on Sunday without media or assistant coaches present the day after suffering a 31-12 loss to the New York Giants in their second preseason game. The only people in attendance for the practice were players and first-year coach Aaron Glenn.

The Jets and Giants play their final preseason games tomorrow night and this evening respectively before the opening of the regular season on September 7.

Aaron Glenn used the words “sloppy” and “undisciplined” to describe the Jets‘ preseason loss to the Giants. The following day, the Jets not only practiced to work on a few areas, but it was coordinated and run entirely by the players themselves and linebacker Jamien Sherwood called the defensive plays.

Led by rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart, the New York Giants lit up the skies and the Jets in a 31-12 victory to close out Week 2 of the preseason.

That would be Odell Beckham Jr., the Giants’ first-round pick in 2014. Beckham, who recently shot down a fake retirement report and reiterated his desire to play football this season, continues to intrigue some regarding a possible fairytale ending of his NFL career with the team that helped get his NFL legacy started.

Jaxson Dart shined in his preseason home debut for the New York Giants as they beat the Jets 31-12. Dart got time with the first-team offense, at one point completed 13 consecutive passes and threw for a touchdown and ran for another.
